B) Wear shoes that can get wet and are good for a hike up a waterfall (flip flops = bad). While a wetsuit is the only solution I can think of, I noticed the guides wore dark quick dry clothing-long sleeves and tights. Tips: A) That water is cold, like 46☏ cold and even though it’s sunny, it’s also windy. Amazing tour and the hike before lunch was 100% worth it. ![]() It wasn’t bad- he told us about some formations and names of the rapids, and at the same time I would have enjoyed stories about the people there and/or some more history. I’d be willing to give a star back if the guide had better narrative along the way. We really just wanted to get to the river. #IDIVE PHOENIX AS DRIVER#One star taken away for bus driver who kept stopping to tell us about cactus and rocks an the way. Hualapai River Runners provides an excellent rafting experience. If you do any of the other trails besides Waterfall, you can enjoy the solitude- not very many other hikers on the other trails. #IDIVE PHOENIX AS FULL#The busiest area is the Waterfall Trail which is a mostly concrete sidewalk- always full of people wanting to see the waterfall (which by the way, normally is just a small trickle if anything.) Also, Wild Life trail is a short but fun trail where you can get up close to the windmill and also see a tranquil pond. So many fun trails to explore as well and a lot of them are beginner friendly, and most of the trails are also interconnected too so you can make your own customized loop. There are several places to park and all of them are marked with signs so you really can't get lost. This is one of the most beautiful parks out of all the Maricopa Regional Parks (tied with Lake Pleasant Regional Park). The mountains are covered with desert foliage, and just driving through here can take your breath away. The mountains here are just stunning and breathtaking and the landscape here is very lush. There is always a long line at the tollbooth in front note- if you do have an annual pass, sometimes they will let you get in the 2nd lane so you don't have to wait in line (similar to a Fast Pass at Disney). We made grate memories and we’re thoroughly happy with how we spent our time. The directions to get on the trails weren’t the most detailed but it made it more fun trying to figure it out. The sun tan can wait until you’re soaking up the rays at the pool. Do yourself a favor and wear a long shirt and pants. ![]() Bring tinted goggles as the ones they provide are clear. Things to note: if you want gloves, bring them as they don’t provide them. The employer simply told us to head back out and hook a left and we were on the trails! The helmet fitting went well along with the quick quad training/familiarity session. The sign-in process was nice and easy as we were able to complete them all on our phones before we got there. The parking lot is a little bit of a walk to the actual rental area. Ranging from first time on a quad to experienced, we all were able to have some fun. I was there with a party of 7 for a bachelor weekend and it was a blast all around. If you are looking for something to do while staying in Arizona that doesn’t include day clubs, hiking, eating, or golfing, then head to Arizona Outdoor Fun Tours and hop on a quad and rip it up! ![]()
